The backbone of any water garden is a waterproof membrane.  Although there are various types of membranes varying from rigid high density polyethylene (HDPE), fiberglass, flexible polyvinyl chloride (PVC) -- we at WLS have found that the most versatile & durable liners to be 45mil ethylene-propylene-diene-monomer (EPDM).
